Mike Brown founded RivetDirect in 2000 to address the large unmet end-user demand for affordable specialty fasteners. Leveraging his background in product management, engineering, and operations from his time at General Electric and Marson, he identified a number of applications and industries around which RivetDirect specialized. 

Alex Brown, his son, joined in 2024 as General Manager. He brought nearly a decade of sales, customer service, and contract negotiation experience to the firm. Under his leadership RivetDirect is rapidly growing its sales of aluminum drive rivets in the concrete forming, traffic sign, poly skid shoe, and trailer liner niches.
